As the founder of Sara-Ann Interior Design, my journey in interiors has been shaped by a lifelong passion for creativity and a deep appreciation for how thoughtfully designed spaces can elevate the way we live and work. From the very beginning, I was drawn to the transformative power of design, the way it can marry beauty with function and create a sense of calm, luxury, and purpose.
Growth Through Experience
Throughout my career, I’ve been fortunate to learn from a wide range of design influences, both locally and internationally. Each project, collaboration, and design exploration has shaped my understanding of space, form, and detail. I realised early on that it was possible to build a practice that reflects both creative freedom and a deep respect for clients’ lifestyles. A studio that delivers beautiful, considered interiors without compromising on personal connection or functionality.
Balancing Creativity and Motherhood
While attending international design events and working on projects that inspired me, I realised that returning to a conventional 9-to-5 would never align with the life I wanted with my children. This insight became the foundation of Sara-Ann Interior Design — a studio where I could fully embrace my creative passion while being present as a mother.
Balancing motherhood with running a design practice has taught me empathy, patience, and the importance of creating spaces that truly support the people who inhabit them. It’s a perspective I carry into every project, ensuring each interior is not only beautiful and functional but also thoughtfully designed for real life.
